Listening

It was John’s last morning in Hanoi. He packed his suitcase carefully and went down to the hotel reception to check out. At the counter, the receptionist smiled and greeted him. John said he wanted to check out of room 305. The receptionist asked for his key card and checked the computer system. She confirmed that John had stayed for three nights, and asked if he had used anything from the minibar. John said he only took one bottle of water. The receptionist added the charge to the bill and showed him the total. John looked at the bill, paid by credit card, and asked if she could call a taxi for him. The receptionist confirmed and gave him a printed receipt. She wished him a safe journey. John thanked her and waited in the lobby for his taxi, feeling satisfied with the service and excited for his next destination.
